Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
This policy explains how Amrutha Solutions Ltd ("we"), operator of YourTicketHub, collects, uses and protects personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.
1. Information we collect
- Ticket buyers: your name and email address, the event and tickets you buy, the amounts paid, and whether and when your ticket was scanned at the door.
- Payment details: card payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe or Square). They collect your card details directly; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Organizers and their staff: names, email addresses, business details, and account passwords (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
- Technical information: a login cookie for signed-in users and basic server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.
- Visit counts: when you open a public page we count the visit — the page, the website or app you came from (for example Instagram), and whether you use a phone or computer — using a random ID stored in your browser. It isn't a cookie, isn't linked to your name or email, and isn't used for advertising. Organizers see only totals for their own events.
2. How we use it
- To process your order, send your tickets and order emails, and let you into the event.
- To provide customer support, handle refunds and prevent fraud.
- To let Organizers run their events (attendee lists, check-in, sales reports and payouts).
- To operate, secure and improve the Platform, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We send transactional emails (tickets, receipts, refund notices). We do not send marketing emails without your consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Following an organizer. If you tick “Email me about future events from …” at checkout, or sign up on an organizer's page (and confirm by email), we record your email, name (if given), where you signed up, the wording you agreed to and the time. That organizer can see and download this list to tell you about their future events. Every email they send must let you unsubscribe, and you can also unsubscribe at any time using the link we give you; we then mark you as unsubscribed and remove you from their list. The number of followers (never names or emails) may be shown on the organizer's public page.
3. Who we share it with
- The Organizer of the event you buy tickets for receives your name, email and order details so they can run the event and contact you about it. Organizers are responsible for their own use of this information.
- Service providers who process information on our behalf: payment processing (Stripe, Square), email delivery (Resend), and hosting/database (Railway).
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect rights, safety or property.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Where it is stored
Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information processed in another country is subject to the laws of that country.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order and ticket records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (generally up to 7 years), and then delete or anonymize them.
6. Security
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, encryption of payment credentials at rest and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us at support@yourtickethub.ca. We may need to verify your identity. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — for example to keep organizers and staff signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To count visits we keep a random visitor ID in your browser's local storage (see section 1); you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
9. Children
The Platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page with its effective date.
